This exciting position will play a crucial role in driving arts and cultural development through strategic and operational direction.
In this role, your expertise and leadership will be vital in nurturing a small team, fostering collaborative approaches, co-designing public spaces and supporting our vibrant arts and cultural communities.
About You Fundamental to the role is an attitude to make things happen, a drive and energy to create great public places and connect with communities and stakeholders to transform spaces into places people love within the City of Charles Sturt.
Lead with curiosity and vision to shape positive place making outcomes.Create vibrant public spaces and connect with communities.Deliver effective strategies that enhance our city.Collaborate on large-scale projects, including open spaces, social infrastructure, streetscape upgrades, and precinct renewal.Offer expertise and strong leadership to grow a small team, fostering a constructive workplace culture that values learning and teamwork.Contribute your passion and collaborative approach to co-designing public spaces with communities and supporting arts and cultural initiatives.About the Organisation The City of Charles Sturt is home to 105 diverse cultures create a vibrant and dynamic community unlike any other in South Australia.

About the Team The Place Making team includes Place Leaders and the Open Space Community Planner.
This team drives the delivery and activation of spaces that foster arts and cultural outcomes.
They also create exceptional place-making experiences and implement equitable community open space projects.
These efforts contribute to a rich, vibrant, and inclusive City.
More about the job This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, and is classified at Level 7, with a salary range of $119,57 to $126,79 per annum + Super + Annual Leave Loading.
A current unprohibited Employment Screening Check must be maintained for the duration of the employment period in this prescribed position.
