We advocate hearing different points of view, collaboration and constructive debate.The Global Insights Consulting Practice is our largest business-line globally and runs evidenced-based consulting programmes based on interviewing the leading industry experts and key decision makers at buy-side clients and intermediaries annually. Objectives are to analyse industry trends and the competitive performance and positioning of sell-side providers. The Global Insights Consulting practice conducts more than 50 evidence-based Insights Consulting Programmes annually, covering life insurance, health insurance, wealth management, asset management and reinsurance, across all major financial services markets internationally.The combination of our specialist focus, global network (presence in 51 countries), research and analytics, give us a unique perspective on the market dynamics relevant to the insurance, reinsurance and investments industries globally.Summary StatementThis is an exciting opportunity within our Sydney Insights practice for an individual who is seeking to advance their career in a consulting environment leveraging their data and analytics skills.The role will manage the implementation and delivery of our core Insights propositions within Australia and other global markets, working closely with senior colleagues to develop insightful analysis, deepen relationships with clients, contribute to consulting assignments and drive the vision for improvement and growth.This position will suit a self-motivated individual who possesses strong technical and analytical skills in addition to excellent client management abilities. Responsible for programme implementation and client delivery, immersion in our methodologies will be critical for success, along with the ability to articulate and debate insights and key messages with senior executives. Over time you will be considered a key source within the market for critical insight and analysis.RoleConsultant (Insights)Location:SydneyIndustry:Advice, Asset Management, Life Insurance, ReinsuranceKey ResponsibilitiesAnalysing interview & market data across the insurance programmes in Australia to develop critical outputs to support market insight development.Project management and presenting to clients on NMG's insights studies.Articulating critical findings for the industry and for clients, proactively engaging with key stakeholders on relevant topics, industry themes and the development of new content.Developing strong relationships with clients through the research process and delivery of insights; engaging with the NMG team globally to learn methodologies, leveraging existing capabilities to continue to evolve our programmes.Utilising the collective expertise and resources across all divisions of the NMG Consulting Group in order to fully exploit our "information advantage" and improve the quality of our client offering; identifying and implementing improvements to processes to lift efficiency and quality.Living the NMG values of Curiosity, Collaboration, Go for It, and Make it Count.Competencies, Qualifications & Experience3-5 years experience in Financial Services, preferably within insurance or reinsurance; a superior tertiary qualification, additional qualifications or honours valued.Proven data analytics and problem-solving skills and awareness of best in class solutions; excellent attention to detail and quality standards.A strategic and creative thinker who is highly self-motivated, capable of independent and team-work.High level of enthusiasm for the industry, a positive attitude, energetic approach, curiosity and willingness to learn.High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience in SQL as well as database management and/or other programming languages are added advantages.Prior experience in consulting or insights roles is strongly preferred.
