Independent of government and aged care providers, we work with the government to influence aged care policy through systemic advocacy.
The role… The Senior Data Analyst will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that will drive decision-making and advocacy efforts across our client's national network.
Reporting to the Manager of Data, Analysis, and Reporting, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the seamless collection, management, and reporting of national data, all while contributing to the ongoing improvement of aged care services and advocacy in this dynamic, ever-evolving space.
What you'll be doing… Perform in-depth data analysis to support strategic decisions and operational improvements.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop reporting solutions that enhance data-driven decisions.Prepare high-quality reports by extracting data from multiple platforms and databases.Contribute to the development of a national minimum dataset (MDS) for consistent data collection across OPAN's member organisations.Ensure adherence to best practices in data visualisation and reporting, primarily through Power BI (advanced DAX knowledge required).Provide guidance on data governance, quality standards, and product development to support OPAN's data integrity.Assist in the design of improved data sets in response to changes in legislation and aged care system evaluations.Work closely with contractors to implement system changes in data collection methods across the network.What you'll bring… Extensive experience in data analysis, modelling, mapping, and quality monitoring.Expertise in Power BI, including advanced DAX and experience in building visualisations.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, DevOps, and query languages like SQL, with R or Python experience being advantageous.Solid understanding of data governance, including a thorough knowledge of the Privacy Act.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience with Salesforce is a plus.A collaborative, service-oriented attitude with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing demands.Qualifications (desirable): A relevant tertiary degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or similar, and/or at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.A current National Police Check.Full working rights in Australia.Why OPAN?
