We offer a wide range of services to our customers and specialize in chemical, fertiliser, seed, agronomy services, rural merchandise, livestock, property, and water equipment, to ensure customers have what they need, when they need it.
With a history of over 127 years of service, the McGregor Gourlay Agricultural Services team is at the forefront of agriculture, with an outstanding level of experience across a wide range of cropping environments, to assist our customers pioneer production into new areas across the region and maximize the potential of their cropping and livestock operations.
Job Description McGregor Gourlay is seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics and Operations Manager to join our team in Toowoomba.
This permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in logistics coordination.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of logistics and operations to ensure efficient and effective processes within the Branch.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and optimising all logistical functions, including transportation, distribution, inventory control, and warehousing.
Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction through effective branch inventory management and timely deliveries.
Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational and delivery efficiency.
Leading and mentoring a team of delivery and warehouse staff to achieve Branch goals and objectives.
Collaborating with other team members to streamline processes and enhance overall business operations.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Analysing data to make informed decisions on resource allocation, delivery planning, and process improvements.
Contributing to the development of long-term business plans to support company growth and expansion.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of logistics management.

Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications:
Forklift and truck licenses are advantageous.
Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence is advantageous.
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated experience in a logistics coordinator or similar role.
Previous experience in a customer service position is highly desirable.
Previous agricultural experience is highly desirable.
Familiarity with stock and inventory management is preferred.
Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is advantageous.
Strong organisational and time management skills are essential.
Logistics and fleet management expertise is advantageous.
Capable of multitasking and effectively prioritising multiple transport schedules.
