Add expected salary to your profile for insightsThe ACEREZ consortium, which includes the ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), has been appointed Preferred Proponent to design and construct the transmission line infrastructure for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ), as part of Australia's energy transition, outlined in the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.The new transmission infrastructure, which will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers in the CWO REZ to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW while helping to meet the state's newly legislated Net Zero targets.Job DescriptionWith a commitment to driving positive change, contributing to the evolution of Australia's green energy sector, this is your chance to be part of something groundbreakingOur Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Project Engineer (Batch Plant) to share their expertise within our growing Project Wide team. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee engineering activities, including technical, inspection, scheduling, planning, procurement, and quality control. Support the Project Manager in ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Initially this position is located in our project office in Sydney CBD before transitioning to a roster-based arrangement.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor Subcontractor Performance: Provides positive leadership to subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship on and off-site according to specifications and procedures.Drive Quality Standards: Ensures implementation of project quality plans, recording non-conformances, and initiating corrective actions promptly.Ensure Safety Compliance: Adheres to safety and environmental plans, ensuring the project team, including subcontractors, meets all relevant HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.Risk Management and Hazard Assessment: Continually assesses high-risk activities, recommends approaches, and ensures action is taken in conjunction with appropriate personnel.Resource Coordination: Ensures all assigned personnel coordinate their activities effectively, promoting teamwork and alignment with project goals.Manage Project Schedule: Maintains the project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues to ensure timely project delivery.Financial Oversight: Manages project cost control to meet performance targets, including budgeting, forecasting risks, and monitoring financial performance.Authority Approvals and Compliance: Manages authority submissions and approvals, ensuring that all necessary conditions are met within the project timeline.Documentation Control: Monitors and controls documentation flow between engineers, consultants, subcontractors, ensuring all parties work with the current project documentation.Promote Innovation: Encourages the adoption of new construction techniques and challenges the team to optimize cost, time, and safety outcomes.Minimum Skills & Qualifications10 years' experience in a construction/engineering environment.Relevant Tertiary Education.Demonstrated experience of concrete ordering, concrete pour management to TfNSW standards.TfNSW Concrete Grey Card (B80, R82 & R83).Competent in planning and organising work schedules.Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same.We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all voices are heard and valued.
