In this role you will partner with our entrepreneurial owner to systemise and scale our successful business. Our goal is to build the world leader in slurry transfer technology for the mining industry.Key aspects of this role are:Key Partner: strategic leadership role, key partner for owner.Full Autonomy: large scope and full ownership of functional responsibilities.Global Ambition: key role in executing ambitious global growth strategy.Fast-Growing Company: startup 10 years ago, forecast $100-120m sales this year, $200-250m in 2-3 years.Strong Financials: ability to 100% internally fund our growth strategy (no debt, strong cashflow, strong cash position).High-Performance Team: strong performance-focused 'No BS' leadership team.Entrepreneurial Culture: owner-led business, fast-moving and ambitious.Long-Term Opportunity: large growth opportunity with ambitious owner committed to build a leading global company over the long-term (no intention to sell or go public).Reward – private owner willing to reward high-performers.This is an opportunity to get on board and drive the global expansion of our business.The RoleThis is a transformational role at a critical point in the company's growth. Your mission will be to maximise the company's growth, profitability, and long-term value. This is a highly-commercial 'business generalist' role that will partner closely with the owner.Key responsibilities include:Lead & manage team.Build scalable operating & management systems.Strategic planning & execution system (EOS).Systems, technology, infrastructure, automation, analytics.Finance, accounts, cashflow, budgeting, reporting.Business improvement (process, pricing, costs, cash, growth).Property, facilities, major capex, special projects.Acquisitions incl. negotiation, diligence, and integration.A significant transformation is required to support our growth into a high-performance medium-sized company. An initial phase will be required to 'clean up' and establish a strong foundation upon which to drive future growth (likely 12-18 months). Beyond this, this role will play a key part in optimising the business operations, financial performance and deployment of the surplus cashflow into growth initiatives.You will report directly to the owner as part of our executive leadership team. The preferred location for this role is our Perth Head Office. We will consider alternate locations and travel options (such as our Brisbane Office) for an exceptional candidate. We will provide full relocation and visa if required.Ideal CandidateWe are looking for an outstanding leader who wants to build a world-class company. This is a significant role that will require serious ambition, energy, and commitment.You will be a strong fit with our Core Values.The ideal candidate will have the following experience:Experience in a medium-sized private business working for the owner or private equity.Strong commercial experience, including contract negotiation & management.Experience in technology transformation programs (including new ERP).Experience in manufacturing, including Lean / business improvement.M&A experience, including negotiating, diligence & integration (to $100m).The BusinessBeaver is a privately owned, entrepreneurial company led by Josh Beaver. Its main business specialises in the design and manufacture of slurry transfer products for the mining industry. It currently has a team of 110 and is growing at a rate of 40 per year.The business is investing heavily in technology to create a fully digital workflow from spatial data to design to manufacturing to remote monitoring. Our SlurryIQ optimisation technology is the first step of turning our products into 'smart' hardware that delivers exceptional value to clients using technology including 3D point cloud, AI-based design optimisation, wear prediction using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), embedded sensors with IIOT cloud, digital twin visualisation, and predictive maintenance. We are also investing heavily in manufacturing automation.The vision is to build a world-class company that dominates its target niche markets globally. With a proven strategy, the required capabilities, a strong financial position, and attractive industry trends, Beaver is well-positioned to grow its business to $200-250m over the next 2-3 years.Why This Role?This is an outstanding opportunity.
