Site activities are ramping up now with construction underway, mining operations commencing early in 2025 and processing commencing shortly thereafter.About the RoleThe Maintenance Superintendent reporting into the Manager – Processing will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing all maintenance activities and the team to ensure the continuous availability and reliability of the Processing Plant, and other key fixed plant infrastructure.The role is offered on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Perth.Key Responsibilities:In accordance with requirements of the Site Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022, appointment as a Statutory Supervisor, Schedule 26 – Clause 3, and responsible for discharging the duties and functions required under the WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 and associated SOP'sEffectively lead the maintenance team ensuring continuous improvement strategies are implemented and executed to ensure production targets are met as well as optimising plant efficiencyContinuous reviews of shutdown performance identifying value loss and root cause to support improvement in QA/QC overruns and reliabilityTake an active role in short- and long-term planning of maintenance activities including shutdownsLead by example in demonstrating a hands-on approach to resolving maintenance issues allocating priority to emergent work orders, in line with core business needsEstablishment of systems and processes with Pronto to allow for management of all maintenance activitiesSupport the operational strategy by achieving and/or exceeding budget production rates, machine availability and reliabilityEvaluate opportunities to reduce departmental budget by reviewing labour requirementsEnsure statutory compliance and safe systems of work are in place for all assets, people and activities under Maintenance Superintendent controlEnsure compliance with MEK safety policies, The Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 as well as other appropriate legislation.Be the Classified Plant Appointee for the siteAbout YouEngineering Trade Qualification (Preferably Mechanical)Completion of DEMIRS approved units of competency, BSBWHS411, BSBWHS414Obtainment of the DEMIRS Statutory Supervisors ticketFrontline Management Qualifications or equivalent experienceIdeally, +5 years' experience in a similar position within mining environmentExperience in management and execution of plant shutdowns and or outagesAbility to develop preventative maintenance programs with solid understand of maintenance management systemsAbility to prepare budgets, forecasts and analyse cost variancesKnowledge and understanding of Mine Act and RegulationsSolid understanding of engineering Standards and CodesDemonstrated experience in managing teams to meet set targets and objectives.Strong ability to liaise with external and internal stakeholders effectively.Experience in the use of Microsoft Office and PRONTOValid C Western Australian Drivers Licence.Senior First Aid Certificate.Valid National Police Clearance (AccommodationYou will be accommodated in a well-appointed mine village with a fully equipped gym, WIFI with streaming capacity, and full Telstra coverage.
