Senior P&C Advisor (Case Management) What an opportunity

About the Team
Our People & Culture (P&C) Advisory team are a key group within the wider People & Culture directorate primarily tasked with supporting leaders and employees across our Head Office, store sites, and Distribution Centres for a variety of employment lifecycle needs post onboarding.
Our core work includes providing tailored advice and coaching on performance and conduct matters, investigating grievances, risk mitigation and compliance, contributing to the development of leaders, promoting a healthy work environment, along with interpretation and ensuring the correct application of policies, procedures, and industrial instruments.
This is a full-time role based at our Head Office in Huntingwood, NSW with occasional travel required.
The Senior P&C Advisor will oversee a set portfolio and as part of that, have direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of one P&C Advisor.
The Senior P&C Advisor will partner with the P&C Advisor to ensure all matters arising in the portfolio, or as assigned, are suitably prioritised, assigned and attended to in a timely manner.
Fostering excellent rapport and developing productive working relationships with all key stakeholders in the portfolio and beyondProviding sound leadership and coaching to the P&C Advisor, including being a point of escalation for them in working through mattersBeing a key point of contact for leaders and employees, providing information and guidance on a range of people and employment mattersSupporting and coaching leaders in the response, management and investigation of employee grievances and other workplace matters, including the appropriate application of industrially sound disciplinary outcomes, and timely implementation of any local or organisational continuous improvement arising from any learningsDrafting or oversight of formal correspondence from leaders or the organisation to employeesSecurely storing and maintaining accurate records relating to people management and other key employment mattersAdvising stakeholders on matters requiring interpretation of employment legislation, company policies and procedures, along with Modern Awards and Enterprise AgreementsIdentifying and implementing opportunities to improve P&C practice, process and service delivery methods.What we're looking for: We're seeking a degree-qualified (HR or similar) and suitably skilled P&C professional with a passion for supporting people and a track record of success providing outstanding operational and strategic P&C advice.
You will also have experience developing others and, whilst comfortable following process, you'll also have the courage to take a path less travelled for the right outcome.
The successful applicant will have the following:
Demonstrated experience as a Senior P&C Advisor or several years' experience as an Advisor / Generalist, with a deep knowledge and capability in the employee relations spaceA proactive approach to work with the self-motivation and drive to achieve, backed-up with grit and resilience to see tasks through to completionProficient knowledge and interpretation of employment legislation and Modern AwardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organised and with an attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and ensure no ball gets droppedThe ability and confidence to influence colleagues and the decisions of senior stakeholdersStrong tech skills and digital literacyExperience in retail, pharmaceutical or other service-based industries ideal but not essential #J-18808-Ljbffr
