We are Quest Coffee Roasters, a long established espresso bar and organic coffee roastery with a loyal community following in Burleigh Heads and the Gold Coast.
We sell coffee beans and products in store, online, and wholesale.
We are known for our top quality coffee, epic toasties, delicious in house baked cakes and treats, and friendly café service.We are looking for an experienced Cafe Manager to join our teamPosition:Cafe ManagerHours:38+ hours/week (Initial casual with consideration for full time role)Schedule:Between 4:45am and 5pmRate:$35.00 to $37.00 / hr + Super, Bonuses, and Penalty RatesLocation:Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast, QLDWHY JOIN US?Employee Perks:Free drinks, meals, and discounts on barista equipment.Great Team Environment:Be part of a young, energetic, and passionate team, supported by experienced professionals from various fields.Make a Difference:Our goal is to create a workplace that empowers individuals, celebrates small business and community, and upholds standards of social and environmental sustainability.Great Location:Work in beautiful and bustling Burleigh Heads, close to the beach.Career Growth:Enjoy the path to a full-time position, with plenty of opportunities for personal and professional development.Supportive Atmosphere:Experience a collaborative and positive work environment.RESPONSIBILITIESTeam happiness and effectiveness: Oversee training, rostering, and hiring to maintain a motivated cafe team.High-quality standards: Ensure top-tier food, drink, and cleanliness standards in all operations.Shift management and process improvement: Run shifts efficiently, and implement new processes to optimise workflow.Inventory and vendor management: Oversee inventory, vendor relationships, and supply orders.Menu profitability: Develop and maintain a profitable and appealing menu.Customer experience: Continuously uplift the customer experience with a welcoming atmosphere and high service standards.Barista and food handling: Participate in barista and food handling duties as needed.Lead by example: Set the standard for the team and ensure high-quality work.Primary point of contact: Address issues and provide updates to the operations manager.Note: if there are certain responsibilities you've not had experience with before, that's okay
