Limited Term Part Time | 30.4 hours a week | Hybrid workingSenior opportunity for a Social Worker or Psychologist | New positionExcellent opportunities for personal and professional developmentAbout the Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault (ECASA) ECASA provides free counselling and advocacy services to adults and young people/children in the Eastern Region who have experienced sexual assault recently and in the past.
The model of care includes the provision of crisis and short to medium term counselling, group work, professional consultation, and professional and community education programs.
About the role This new position requires you to provide leadership in the planning, development, delivery, and management of ECASA's Primary Prevention activities across the Eastern Metropolitan Region (EMR).
In this position you will meet the objectives of community education and prevention to reduce the incidence and impact of sexual assault.
There will be a focus on strengthening the response of schools in preventing, identifying, and responding to sexual assault.
This role requires community engagement skills to improve and elevate service delivery, while engaging with the broader ECASA team to deliver primary prevention programs in the community.
This position will also promote the services of ECASA to ultimately improve client access.
This position will provide high level expertise across services in the EMR and demonstrate advanced skills in teamwork, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills to ensure a positive collaborative working relationship with the community.
You would be part of a supportive, experienced, and hard-working team who hold the client central to all they do and strive for client-centred and trauma-informed best practice.
This role will be based at our Ringwood East site but will involve travel to connect with services in the East with some opportunity for working from home.
About you To be successful in this role you will possess:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work and Psychology.Comprehensive understanding of the factors contributing to sexual assault, and the relevant legislation relating to sexual assault.Previous experience in the sexual assault or family violence field would be preferable.Experience in the development and delivery of education and training and ability to effectively present to and train small and large audiences.Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience.A strong commitment to high quality care.The ability to work as part of a diverse team.Excellent communication and organisational skills.What we offer Diverse and engaging career opportunitiesFriendly & supportive teamSalary packaging optionsCareer progression in our teaching hospitalsNext Steps Apply online if you feel we are a good match, you have the skills and qualities to make a difference, and are eligible to work in Australia.
