The Opportunity We are seeking a talented Project Management Specialist to join our Australian P-8A Poseidon Change Team.
We are looking for a motivated individual to work across a diverse range of technically complex projects.
You will be responsible and accountable for providing effective project management to ensure successful outcomes for your assigned portfolio of projects.
The Poseidon Change Team is helping to design, develop, build and integrate world leading products on the RAAF P-8A Poseidon.
You will be involved in delivering capability improvements, obsolescence remediation and system safety improvements.
As well as supporting and working within our team, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure and build your professional network as we connect with stakeholders across the company domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities: Development of proposals, change proposals, statements of work, and schedulesProvide effective management and leadership for your assigned portfolio of projectsProvide internal reporting on the current status of the portfolio's performance including Earned ValueTasking and allocating of work packages for engineering, maintenance, training, and logisticsManagement of key stakeholders ensuring an understanding of their responsibilities and deliverablesAssess, identify and manage project risks, issues, and opportunitiesContribute to project improvement efforts, conducting lessons learned, working with customers and capabilitiesIdentification of impacts of changes across a portfolio of projectsDevelopment of junior project managers within the organizationExperience/Qualifications: Experience in managing complex projects to successful and timely completionDemonstrated proficiency in project management areas in accordance with accepted industry project management standardsHigh level communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholdersFormal tertiary qualifications in a STEM, Business or Management field are desirable but not necessaryFamiliarity with engineering change processesDesirable to hold a NV1 clearance at a minimumApplicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence Security Requirements.
