Welders & Boilermakers (Trades & Services) Full time Based in Yatala, you will be responsible for completing day-to-day welding activities in the Workshop whilst operating safely and to a high-quality standard.
ResponsibilitiesComplete day-to-day welding activities.Read NDT reports and quote repair work accordingly.Ensure allocated work is completed to meet production schedules and primary objectives.Complete accurate Job Cards and Timesheets in a timely and efficient manner.Ensure welding consumables and any other welding requirements are recorded and communicated to Management to allow for accurate cost estimates.Carry out MIG and stick hand welding, MIG automated welding, manual machining, free hand oxy cutting, general labour duties, pressing, grinding, maintenance and fabrication duties according to safe work procedures.Design and fabricate parts and equipment using manufacturer's specifications or engineering drawings.Calculate quantities, times, materials, distances, weights and standard to metric conversions in order to perform fabrication, repairs and modifications.Maintain a safe and clean work environment.About YouWe are looking for a dynamic team player who is driven to achieve results.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
Boilermaking trade certification (minimum Cert III/2nd Class Welder).2 years' experience in MIG and stick welding.Experience in the use of various types of equipment and tools common to the welding trade (e.g., MIG welder, oxyacetylene torch, arc welder, plasma cutter, saw, drill press, grinders, etc.
).Knowledge of the characteristics and properties of various metals used in the cutting, forming, and welding of objects, as well as various welding rods and fluxes used in welding metals.Ability to work within a team.Please apply with a current CV.
