Nurse Unit Manager 1 - Intensive Care Unit - St George Hospital, Kogarah

The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is the registered nurse in charge of a ward/unit within SESLHD.
The purpose of the NUM is to lead, direct, and coordinate patient care; ensure safe and efficient nursing practices; maintain standards of care through quality improvement initiatives; and manage the business functions of the ward or unit.
As the leader of the unit, the NUM will demonstrate capability through the following attributes:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA). Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience. A demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of health care services. Proven ability in innovative clinical service delivery and practice development. Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage and manage teams. Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture.
