We are a privately owned group who pride ourselves on going above and beyond in service for our various customers.
We operate a thriving dealership business with a market leader presence supplying premium quality road and compact sweepers throughout Australia and New Zealand, together with the associated after sales activities of spare parts and service.
At the same time through our Enviro Sweep arm, we operate Australia's largest fleet of specialised road sweeping machinery delivering road sweeping services Australia wide.
We are currently experiencing significant and exciting growth and are now seeking to engage talented and passionate individuals to assist the team to continue on this journey throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The Opportunity We are looking to appoint an experienced hands-on Manager with demonstrated leadership qualities and strategic vision who will play an integral role in supporting and developing the management of the groups After Sales Service and Fleet activities encompassing field service, workshop and fleet management activities.
The successful candidate will possess a strong financial and analytical skill set enabling them to support the Directors to grow and drive our business to the next phase, profitably and strategically.
Having a strong fleet management and a mechanical aptitude will ensure further success in the role.
This full-time position will report to the Directors, is based at either our Adelaide, SA head office or in Melbourne, Victoria.
Regular interstate and some international travel are required.
About the Role and Responsibilities Your primary function will be to drive, lead and remotely manage all aspects of our After Sales and Service of the Rosmech business including technical support, warranty, field service, five (5) workshops nationally and group fleet management responsibility.
This is balanced with driving a culture of accountability, openness and transparency and business outcomes through effective performance management.
You will champion continuous improvement to drive efficiencies, cost savings and celebrate team success.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: Manage all aspects of fleet management of a fleet of some three hundred heavy vehicles, light vehicles and earthmoving equipment including scheduled servicing, whole of life cost tracking, acquisitions and disposalsCollaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the timely return to service of all vehicles removed from service for maintenance activitiesEnsure all plant and fleet comply with National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and OHSW requirementsWork with key stakeholders to develop strategies to improve plant deployment, optimisation, and replacementDevelop and implement strategies to minimise/reduce fleet operating costs using Fleet Management System (FMS) and other inputsIdentify and action any recruitment and/or performance management under the guidance of the Human Resources DepartmentMonitor and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs)Identify, oversee and manage key national supplier relationships in consultation with branch management e.g.
navigation systems, consumables, lubricants, tyresManagement of all workshop activitiesEngage with Rosmech's international manufacturers and provide product feedback and improve knowledge within our teamDriving staff training and upskilling initiatives within the technical teams to provide greater efficiencies and reduce time off roadActively promote the Rosmech field service and workshop capability to external customers to create more revenue opportunitiesOversee and manage the technical support team and implement programs to improve the commercial returnsConduct annual budgeting, monthly P&L, and monthly management reportingDevelop new initiatives to increase external service revenueWork closely with the Sales and Spare Parts Teams to increase Group revenue and profitabilityTo be a successful Candidate, the following criteria are sought: Extensive senior leadership experience and qualities, preferably within the heavy vehicle industry coupled with extensive business/commercial management experienceStrong ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and diverse work groups located Australia wide using excellent communication skillsHaving a trade qualification in a heavy diesel or related mechanical field and a previous senior management role within a heavy vehicle or machinery dealership will be advantageousDemonstrated analytical skills with a solution-seeking and hands-on approachOperate with a continuous improvement focus and drive to get the job doneProven ability to work collaboratively, confidently and professionally with various stakeholdersHave the flexibility to travel interstate (occasionally or as reasonably required)Sound organisational skills with attention to detailStrong data skills and IT proficiencyCurrent MR licenceBe confident in passing a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testIf you are ready for new challenges and want the career opportunity to be a driving force behind managing After Sales & Service teams in a dynamic business, let's talk
