The Role In this position you will work closely with global development teams, subject matter experts, and local project teams to deliver customer projects and maintain strong and trusting relationships with customers within Australia, New Zealand, and the surrounding region.
You will be responsible for initiating, planning, overseeing, and delivering a range of projects, from system upgrades to new technology implementations.
You will work in a fast-paced environment tackling complex challenges and driving multiple projects simultaneously.
Your extensive project management and delivery skills will be complemented by experience managing customer relationships to enable you to deliver results pragmatically with both long and short-term objectives in mind.
Your Impact Able to deliver end-to-end projects, typically within a $5-10M portfolio including system implementation and upgrades.
Work on multiple projects at any given time in a customer-facing role.
Proficient with the development of project plans, schedules, budgeting, and financial management.
Hands-on experience with PM tools including, but not limited to MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, JIRA, etc.
Proficient with change management processes and contract change orders.
Sound understanding of risk management and compliance requirements.
Skilled with resource management, prioritization, and documentation and able to meet timelines.
Sound understanding of Project Controls, Governance, Delivery Assurance and Quality Management.
Prior experience with management of testing events (FAT, SAT, UAT etc.)
with onsite/remote environments.
Able to build effective relationships with internal teams and enhance stakeholder engagement.
Set the strategy for projects based on the business unit's priorities.
Participate in sales demos, customer meetings, trade shows, and industry conferences.
What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
8+ years of solid project management experience focused on Software implementation in utilities and/or transport sectors.
Experience with SDLC Methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum.
Knowledge of SCADA systems, Enterprise historians and control systems is preferred but not mandatory.
Soft Skills Required Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
Effective leadership skills and influencing and negotiating ability.
Able to think strategically and shape project direction, solve problems, work productively and flexibly as an individual and within teams.
Able to work with minimal supervision, to exercise initiative, to pay attention to detail and to prioritise work within tight timeframes in a busy office environment.
