About your opportunity
Fixed Term Temporary part-time - hours negotiable up to 30.06.2028.
The CN/SANE will be responsible for the provision of best practice, timely and effective clinical care to inmates at the Townsville Watch house.
CFMU nurses attend the watch house daily and undertake assessment of prisoners and coordinate care, treatment, and referral of those that require medical attention in consultation with the Metro North Virtual Emergency Department Medical Officer.

Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $132,289 p.a.
comprising:
Salary range of $54.44 to $58.30 p.h.
(Nurse Grade 6 Band 1) Annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements
Mandatory: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
Proof of registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
Successful completion of/ or working towards completion of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) course provided by Forensic Medicine Queensland.
This includes completion of the online component of the course and attendance at a two day workshop.
Funding for the SANE course will be provided.
Appropriate credentialing of the CN/SANE in sexual assault examinations on commencement and annually will be provided by the CNC and A/ND CFMU.
Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
The CN/SANE will be required to contribute to the cover of the 24/7 on call CFMU roster including weekend cover and, weekday leave cover of permanent staff when required.
Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
