Townsville Hospital and Health Service is the public healthcare provider for more than 250,000 people across a geographic area of 150,000km2, delivering a comprehensive range of services across 21 facilities, from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking a Clinical Nurse to join the team within The Cleveland Youth Detention Medical Centre at Belgian Gardens on a permanent part-time basis, working 16 hours per fortnight.The Townsville Hospital and Health Service vision is world-class healthcare for northern Queensland.Our purpose is great care every day.About your opportunity:Permanent part-time, 16 hours per fortnightThe Role:Cleveland Youth Detention Medical Centre is part of the Women's and Children's Service Group within Townsville Hospital and Health Service.The Clinical Nurse (CN) role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning, and coordination skills in the clinical care delivery to children, adolescents and young people with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met.This role works autonomously within the healthcare team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing, and delivering of nursing care within a youth detention setting.This role will include conducting health assessments and screening, administering catch-up vaccinations and other prescribed medications, liaising with interdisciplinary teams, and providing emergent care.The role will work 8hr and 12hrs shifts across all days and nights of the week.What's on offer:Generous remuneration package value up to $27,850 p.a. comprising:Salary range of $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1)Annual leave with 17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Other employment benefits may include: professional development, shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts.Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme:Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).Role Requirements:Proof of qualification (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent), registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable.
