As the Manager - Finance and Business Services in the Office of the Deputy Under Treasurer at Queensland Treasury, you will play a crucial role in providing expert corporate advice and managing the financial operations of the Industry, Investment and Commercial group.
You will lead a small team and contribute to strategic management, resource allocation, and decision-making processes.
Your new opportunity
In your new role, you will be responsible for providing expert corporate advice, managing budgetary and financial operations, leading a team, and ensuring compliance with audit and compliance requirements.
The role requires excellent communication skills, experience in building relationships and leading teams, and knowledge of financial, human resource, procurement, and corporate issues.
In this role, you will: Manage budget development, monitoring systems, reporting, and corporate accounting systems.Lead office support staff in financial services, human resources, procurement, and corporate reporting.Continually improve business operations, procedures, and processes to ensure accurate and timely information.Provide high-quality technical advice on financial, human resource, and corporate issues.Coordinate reports, submissions, and correspondence related to finance, human resources, and corporate matters.Represent IIC in departmental working groups and committees.Identify and address staff development needs and provide regular performance feedback.What experience you will bring: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven experience in building productive relationships and leading teams.Knowledge and experience in financial, human resource, procurement, and corporate issues.Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
