Childcare Lead Educator

The Role Open and close shifts with the centre opening at 6.45am and closing at 6pm Options for 4 x 9.5 hour days or 5 x 7.6 hour days Provide strong educational support to your team in implementing the daily program Encourage strategic thinking across your team to ensure the children's interest and developmental requirements of the children are met Build strong bonds with the children and families who are transitioning to an older group and providing ease to the new families for 2025 Work collaboratively with the other Lead Educators across the service to enhance and strengthen educational practice, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures The Benefits Further career progression into more senior roles, for example Educational Leader 50% childcare discounts which extends to Grandchildren also Opportunity to purchase an additional 2 weeks of annual leave Various retail discounts Employee Assistant Program – Your mental health and wellbeing is a priority Recognition for loyalty and exceptional achievements About You Diploma in early education or an ACECQA recognised equivalent At least 12 months of experience in a similar role.
Any experience under this requirement will be considered if reasonable explanation is provided Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to build positive relationships amongst peers and direct reports Ability to manage staff conflict and to communicate concerns with resolutions Excellent knowledge and understanding of industry policy as well as your own teaching philosophy and successful educational practices About the Centre This is a 57 place centre nestled in the heart of Geebung with multiple state Schools close by as well as a 10 minute walk to the local train station.
The centre looks like a sweet little cottage perfect for families and children to feel at ease and comfortable spending most of their days here.
The service is part of a larger organisation so there is ample support when it comes to resources, HR enquiries, professional development and collaboration with a community of like-minded peers/educators.
What to expect from Expect a Star
Expect a Star is Recruitment Agency assisting this Early Childhood Education and Care provider in securing their Lead Educator for the nursery room.
