Concealed on the edge of a Pacific Island Group, this untouched private island encapsulates the essence of barefoot luxury.Job DescriptionReporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing the overall kitchen operations while providing leadership, motivation, and training to your team of well-trained local chefs. Your creative contribution to menu planning, execution, and delivery of expertly curated Mediterranean dishes is required to relaunch the fine dining restaurant with an exciting new concept. Located in the beating heart of the Island, this restaurant is an all-day dining destination, starting with a modern-style café breakfast, a relaxed but elegant lunch, and dinner inspired by dining on the shores of the Mediterranean while highlighting the food of the Pacific Islands.Candidate ProfileTo be considered for this role you must have:Excellent time management, planning, and organization skillsStrong leadership capabilities and team managementExperience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef is idealA desire to work in a beautiful but remote locationWork experience in a well-regarded Mediterranean restaurant (highly desirable)Exceptional understanding of produce and gastronomic techniquesOfferDays off will be spent exploring the reefs, scuba diving, fishing, or jumping on a seaplane to the mainland to experience the culture, the people, and the local markets. With a modern and well-fitted private apartment, free gym access, staff meals, laundry, and other fantastic perks included, it's truly an opportunity not to be missed.
