About The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications and engagement professional to lead effective community engagement for key Council projects and initiatives.
As a subject matter expert, you will provide communication and engagement advice, in-line with IAP2 principles, to ensure appropriate Council projects and initiatives effectively empower residents to participate in civic life and inform decision-making processes within the Council.
You will be part of a dynamic Communications and Engagement Unit, working as a Communications and Engagement Advisor.

Who We are Looking For We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in communications and stakeholder engagement who has:
Degree in Communications or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Proven experience in community and stakeholder engagement roles.
Strong understanding of community engagement methodologies and significant experience developing effective engagement strategies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor channels and approaches to diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong research capabilities, with the ability to interpret and analyse a wide range of information and issues.
Certification with the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2).
The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who can build productive relationships and promote a culture of collaboration and respect.

Package: From $96,668 gross p.a.
plus 11.5% superannuation.
Hours of work: Temporary Full-Time 35 hours per week with option of 19-day month with flex-time arrangement.
Opportunity expected to be available for up to 12 months.
