The Opportunity
Vacenti is seeking Full Time Roster Officers to join the Administration Team at our Head Office – Upper Mount Gravatt (Roving) and Esida – Mount Gravatt East.
Reporting to and working closely with the Facility Manager and Human Resource Officer (Roster) and Roster Supervisor, in this role you will work closely with the Rosters team in the end-to-end rostering function for the organisation.
The role is highly varied and requires a broad set of skills, ability to multitask and a collaborative approach to how they work with the wider team.
You need to be accurate, honest, and thorough.
This role will respond to a range of staff and manager queries and with a focus on providing high-quality customer service and accurate advice.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:
Assist the Roster Supervisor & Facility Managers in the preparation of Master Rosters, maintenance of the Working Rosters, and compliance with budgets.
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete record management.
Monitoring & maintenance of all attendance and absenteeism within the working roster including unavailability in the roster, and unplanned absences, to ensure staffing needs are met, and necessary care is provided to our residents.
Ensure compliance to mandatory workforce competences & qualifications, and workplace conditions are met, in accordance with employee contracts, and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA).
Coordinate the scheduling of all workforce training & development.
Help the HR & Finance team, especially regarding the payroll function as required.
Assist the Roster Supervisor with reporting & ad-hoc analysis on workforce trends, and insights as required.
Help develop, update, & maintain relevant policies, procedures, letters, forms, and other relevant documentation.
Assist with the investigation & reconciliation of variances between roster, timesheet, and payroll.
Other reasonable ad-hoc duties as required.
To Be Successful in This Position You Will Need:
Experience in scheduling management position, preferably with the aged care or health sector.
A personal philosophy of honesty and integrity, and practical approach that is compatible with the Vacenti values.
Ability to provide leadership, advice and direction on rostering matters aligned to business priorities.
Highly developed communication skills (written and verbal) and effective interpersonal skills.
A positive team-based attitude.
Initiative and work independently.
Able to work in a busy environment and has good time management skills.
Very high attention to detail.
Willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn and cross train.
High computer literacy.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information and use sound judgement when communicating matters of a sensitive nature.
Experience in similar roles.
