Direct Care Worker Residential - Casual Pool$29.11 - $29.41 per hour + 25% casual loading - WHA3Casual contracts to start asap up to December 2025Applications are now open for the Direct Care Worker (Residential) Casual Pool at Uringa Hostel and Tumby Bay Hospital We are now accepting applications for Residential Carers to join our dedicated Aged Care team, on a casual basis, in providing a direct client service to residents of the Residential Care Home in Tumby Bay.
The Residential Carers provide qualitative care for residents by assisting residents in personal hygiene and grooming, continence management, maintenance of mobility/dexterity, assistance with communicative aids, cleanliness and neatness of clients' environment, and more.
What we're looking for: Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds, and circumstancesAbility to work collaboratively within a teamEmpathy and commitment to maintaining resident confidentialityAbility to meet deadlines and timeframesExperience in exercising your own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a positionAppointment Requirements: DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker CheckNational Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g.
aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)Immunisation Risk: Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
