The General Manager will report to the Executive Board of Directors and support the operational functions across the Victoria and New South Wales branches.
We seek an experienced and highly motivated General Manager ready to hit the ground running and support performance and efficiencies across all business operational functions.
They will demonstrate a strong work ethic, proven leadership, and excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will also have a strong safety focus and qualifications in WHS.
About Us
Corsec Services is a full-service security company focusing on key industry sectors such as rail/logistics, public infrastructure construction, and health.
The company has been recently appointed to the Victorian Government State Procurement Panel for the provision of security services and appointed to the Victorian Health Share (Dept.
Health) panel of preferred security service providers.
The company presently operates in both Victoria and New South Wales and has a strong client base, including key government and national private sector companies.
Responsibilities
As the company's General Manager, you will be responsible for planning and managing all aspects of the business.
This role will involve enhancing productivity and efficiency in equipment and personnel management and ensuring the business's operation on a national level.
Key tasks will include:
Develop and implement strategic plans and commit to continual business performance and profitability improvements.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including sales, marketing, and supply chain management and staff recruitment.
Strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying and acquiring new business opportunities.
Drive operational efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives.
Lead and motivate the team to ensure high performance and engagement.
Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Ensuring compliance with WH&S regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.
Developing, implementing and maintaining an Integrated Safety Management Manual and related elements such as SWMs, SOPs, standardised toolbox talks, and safety training modules.
Budget preparation, reviews and report cost plans.
Developing and implementing operational strategies and procedures aligned with business objectives and plans.
General Safety and Compliance reporting Requirements and Skills
Proven experience as a General Manager or similar senior leadership role, ideally within an SME.
Demonstrated expertise in sales and marketing, with a track record of driving growth and enhancing profitability.
Strong understanding of financial management, budget development/oversight and business operations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strategic & critical thinker with problem-solving skills and the ability to execute.
Preferably a minimum of a Certificate IV in WHS, ideally a Diploma in WHS.
Proficient in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
Excellent attention to detail and operational excellence.
Teamwork and collaboration skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated organisational and planning skills.
Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovations.
