Greencross Vets Wetherill Park are looking for an experienced and motivated Vet Nurse to join our team on a Casual Basis We are a busy practice with a moderate surgical and medical caseload, so great for nurses that love a fast pace and don't shy away from learning something new

About your new role: Casual hours undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical carePerforming minor procedures when requiredMaintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipmentAbout your skills and your experience: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with min.
2+ years of experienceStrong knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing proceduresA positive and enthusiastic attitude towards workExceptional communication skillsWillingness to keep learning and improving both themselves and the practiceAbility to multitask efficiently,remain calm and react quickly in stressful and emergency situationsDisplay a high degree of empathy and understanding towards the needs of the patients, the clients and the rest of your teamKnowledge of RX Worksideal but not essentialThe successful nurse will need to cover all aspects of veterinary nursing, from assisting with a wide range of surgical caseloads, blood sampling and in-house pathology, cannula placement, to animal handling.
There is also a component of reception duties including answering client enquiries over the phone, updating patient records, making appointments and discharge of patients.
