Company Overview Small and growing manufacturing business based near Prestons.
Position Supply Chain Manager role reporting to the Financial Controller.
Minimum Requirements 2-3 Years in a similar role required along with a tertiary qualification.Client Details The business is a $15m revenue manufacturing and distribution business delivering products into a niche market.
The business requires a Supply Chain / Logistics Manager on site.
Description Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Supply Chain / Logistics Manager will coordinate and manage the flow of goods, services, quality, and information throughout the supply chain process.
This role involves handling administrative tasks, maintaining inventory records, processing orders, and liaising with suppliers/internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Order Processing: Processing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in details such as quantities, delivery dates, and pricing, and communicating with suppliers.Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating replenishments.Supplier Communication: Acting as the contact for suppliers, ensuring that orders are delivered on time and resolving any issues related to shipments, quality, or delays.Data Reporting: Maintaining accurate records in supply chain management systems or ERP software.Logistics Coordination: Scheduling shipments and deliveries, coordinating with shipping companies.Optimisation: Identifying areas for improvement, such as cost reduction and faster delivery times, and working with Finance, Customer Service, and Sales to determine the most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.Profile You have 2-3 years in a supply chain/logistics leadership role along with a tertiary qualification in a supply chain or business-related field.
You will have a good understanding of supply chain optimisation and use of an ERP, and be hands-on and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Offer Up to $105,000 + super.
