About the role Based on site at Ironbark, reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, your key responsibility as an Electrical Shift Engineer is to coordinate all planned maintenance activities and unplanned activities to ensure shift safety and production targets are delivered.
Key Responsibilities include: Ensures that maintenance schedules are achieved in accordance with the weekly and daily plans and all statutory work is completed.Ensure that the mine priorities are complied with.Provide feedback as to the quality of the planned work and leadership to the shift trades.Sample auditing of maintenance work to achieve the required standard.Drive a culture with the shift trades of identifying faults and correcting them before they become downtime.Drive a culture of identifying the root cause of downtime (e.g.
drive the completion of 5 Why's for production disruption or unplanned downtime).Provide technical support to the shift electrical trades personnel.Manage and raise breakdown work orders, new corrective work orders and communicate work to process coordinators.Reallocate Labour and equipment as required to maximise safety and production on shift.React to and control breakdowns and provide technical support to your on-shift trade team.Drive and initiate the process delay escalation procedure.Initiate contingency work when required.Debrief all electrical trades personnel before they finish shift.Brief the oncoming shift as to the state of the mine and progress of any ongoing tasks.Provide a comprehensive shift report of all Electrical activities on shift.About You Significant previous experience working in Outbye, Development or Longwall operations.Commitment to the achievement of business goals and outcomes.High level reasoning ability and problem-solving skills.Able to effectively plan and prioritize tasks.Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.A genuine and proactive approach to ensuring a safe work environment as a priority.Fitzroy Benefits for you These roles are Moranbah based; providing great lifestyle options just 2 hours from Mackay and the Whitsunday coast.
