Welder/Trades Assistant – Devonport Ajl Heavy Equipment Pty Ltd

We are currently seeking a Welder/Fabricator who can also serve as a Semi-Skilled Trades Assistant for our expanding East Devonport branch.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of collaborating effectively with the AJL team, and eager to acquire new skills.
This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and rapidly growing company, operating in an exciting and fast-paced environment.The positions will entail performing work on all types of heavy machinery, prime movers, stevedoring equipment, trailers, and light vehicles both on site and field service.Responsibilities:Perform work on all types of heavy machinery, prime movers, stevedoring equipment, trailers, and light vehicles.Minimum Requirements:Skills and experience in Arc, MIG & TIG welding.Some skill and experience in the mechanical trade.Semi-skilled in a range of welding repairs and manufacture of steel products and structures.Able to follow set procedures, contribute to their design, implementation, and supervision.Positive and can-do attitude.Self-motivation.Sound communication skills.Willing to work as part of a high performing team.Interest in a diverse role including landside and seaside operations.Willing to focus on company values and strategic direction.The Rewards from AJL:Well equipped workshop.Competitive hourly rate (based on your level of experience).Opportunity to work overtime.Further training and development.Great team environment.AJL Heavy Equipment is a Tasmanian owned enterprise operating from branches in Burnie and Devonport in Tasmania and Melbourne, Victoria.
