Protech are looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to perform work with our client, based at Olympic Dam In Roxby Downs.This role is part of a program of special measures intended to achieve equality, therefore it is a requirement that the position is held by a female, and the exemption in section 7D of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 applies.Olympic Dam is one of the world's most significant deposits of copper, gold, and uranium.
Located 560 kilometres north of Adelaide, South Australia.
It's made up of underground and surface operations and operates a fully integrated processing facility from ore to metal.These roles are available FIFO (fly in, fly out) from Adelaide, DIDO (Drive in, Drive Out - Towns in close proximity to Roxby Downs) or Residential Roxby Downs where a shuttle bus service is provided.BENEFITS:Permanent Opportunity with a top tier mining companyFortnightly payCompetitive salary packageCompany benefitsIN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every dayAssist with any planned maintenance and complete tasks in a timely mannerProvide mechanical trade skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenanceMaintain equipment on the surface/workshop or as part of the underground teamWork with your team to a high level of accountability and be able to build productive team relationshipsProvide Feedback to the Shift Maintenance Supervisors on job progressABOUT YOU:Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's wayHeavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualifications with experience in heavy machineryUnderground mining experience highly regarded but not essentialRigger, Dogger, Crane, FL and Bridge & Gantry tickets, also advantageousSolid time management skills and ability to prioritiseA proactive team player who is also self-motivated and able to work effectively unsupervisedAbility to communicate well across multiple levels and disciplinesHOW TO APPLY:This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team in a rewarding role.
