This includes implementing a new scheme licensing operators for the first time, monitoring compliance with new licence conditions, and exploring future directions for the sector and developing policy and regulation in response to emerging issues.The roleThe Data Analyst is part of the Policy and Insights team.
They will provide statistical information and analysis on financial and other data to guide strategic and operational decisions and support informed regulation and compliance.
They will use diverse data sources, including unconventional and incomplete datasets, to draw inferences and generate insights to identify and address policy challenges.This is a diverse role, with exposure to many aspects of the agency's work.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enabling data-driven policy and decision-making as well as supporting ongoing internal process improvement and business development.What you will bring to the roleData analytical skills and experience in analysing data from multiple sources to provide meaningful reports.High accuracy, numerical proficiency, and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Critical thinking and analytical mindset for data comprehension.The ability to communicate complex information effectively for a variety of audiences.Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in data manipulation, visualisation and dashboards.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.What is an essential requirement:Tertiary qualifications in information technology or finance or relevant field and/or demonstrated equivalent experience.What's in it for me?Join our team for a fantastic culture with dynamic collaboration and genuine long-term career support.
