The Supply Chain Optimisation Lead is responsible for driving strategic initiatives that improve the overall efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness of the supply chain.
This role leads the optimisation team in analysing the downstream network, identifying opportunities for reducing lead times, minimising costs, and enhancing service levels to better meet customer needs.
The Supply Chain Optimisation Lead also supports the implementation of complex projects and builds new capabilities across the value chain, ensuring that the supply chain remains agile, responsive, and aligned with business goals.
This role is also responsible for leading, inspiring and cultivating a high performing team that attracts and retains top talent.
Key Accountabilities
Lead in-depth analysis of the downstream supply chain network to identify areas for improvement in cost reduction, lead time, and customer service.
Oversee the execution of complex projects aimed at optimising supply chain processes and building new capabilities across the value chain, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
Develop and implement strategies that reduce supply chain costs while shortening lead times, without compromising on service quality.
Partner with logistics, distribution, and production teams to align supply chain optimisation with broader business goals and ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration.
Drive the development and adoption of new tools, systems, and capabilities that improve supply chain efficiency and scalability.
Identify risks within the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate potential disruptions, ensuring resilience and continuity.
Embrace uncertainty and change while facilitating and enabling strategic change with clarity, empathy and optimism.
Create & foster an inclusive environment where all team members can thrive and feel included, respected and safe.

Key Capabilities
Experience in a similar role in leading optimisation across Supply Chain operations, preferably network optimisation, lead time reduction, and cost management.
Demonstrated experience in leading teams, fostering collaboration, and building a culture of continuous improvement.
Proven experience in managing and executing complex, large-scale projects from concept through to implementation.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, particularly in downstream network optimisation, lead time reduction, and cost management.
Expertise in analysing large datasets to inform supply chain strategy and decision-making, with a focus on driving efficiency and service improvements.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across procurement, logistics, and planning functions.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, solve complex problems, and innovate new solutions to optimise the supply chain.
