Your proactive mindset and dedication to continuous improvement contribute to KBR's mission of delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational readiness and security.This is a contingent position based upon contract award.What You'll DoIn the role of Generator Specialist, your duties will include :Installation and Commissioning : Oversee the installation and commissioning of generator systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Maintenance and Repairs : Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of generator systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Diagnostic Testing : Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues in generator systems, utilizing specialized tools and equipment for accurate assessments.Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and prepare reports for management review.Safety Compliance : Implement and uphold safety protocols during all operations, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.Training and Support : Provide technical guidance and training to team members and other personnel on the proper use and maintenance of generator systems.Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations during power outages or emergencies.Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability for timely maintenance and repairs.Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance generator performance and operational efficiency.Emergency Response : Respond promptly to generator failures and emergencies, providing on-site support to restore power quickly and efficiently.Requirements :Must be a US or Australian citizen.Must have a US Secret clearance, or an Australian NV-1 clearance.Must have a minimum of five years of experience as a generator specialist.Must be a Certified Generator Mechanic (Note : CAT is strongly preferred).Must be a Certified OEM Generator Operator (Note : Preferably CAT certified).Must be capable of troubleshooting small and large generators (i.e., Cummins, FG Wilson, Agrrekko, Caterpillar).Attention to Detail : Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.Adaptability : Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.Decision-Making Ability : Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.Desired Qualifications :OEM Power Plant Operator Certification.CAT CertificationThis role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
