About the Role A newly created position, the Workplace Relations & Compliance Manager , will play a pivotal role in fostering a fair, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture within a dynamic and highly regulated environment.
Your expertise will guide the organisation through complex workplace matters, ensuring alignment with employment laws, policies, and ethical standards.
This is an initial 12 month contract , part time 2-3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities: Workplace Relations Leadership: Provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and dispute resolution strategies.
Industrial Relations:  Build effective relationships with unions, and support EA negotiations.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to workplace legislation, organisational policies, and best-practice standards in employment relations.
Strategic Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to drive proactive workplace relations strategies and initiatives.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Training and Development: Build organisational capability through training programs focused on workplace relations and compliance.
Policy Development: Develop and implement clear, effective workplace relations policies and procedures.
This role requires a balanced approach—offering strategic insight while remaining hands-on when addressing sensitive or high-impact matters.
About you In addition to your proven experience in workplace relations and compliance leadership, you will bring: Strong understanding of employment law, risk management, and industrial relations frameworks.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to navigate sensitive and high-pressure situations with professionalism and discretion.
A proactive mindset with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions.
