Director, Risk and Compliance
Full-time Permanent Details: The Corporate and Strategic Services branch is responsible for delivering a range of corporate and strategic services that support the operations of each Court and ACAT.
Corporate and Strategic Services consists of the following areas:
Corporate Information Systems Finance People and Governance Property and Contracts Therapeutic and Client Services.
People and Governance:
The People and Governance team provides strategic business support across ACT Courts and Tribunal (ACTCT) in the areas of governance, human resources, risk and work health and safety, communications, complaints, and annual reporting.
The team provides coordination and management of matters relating to Government and Assembly business and contributes to the development of strategic policy initiatives.
The Director, Risk and Compliance is responsible for the development and management of ACT Courts and Tribunal risk, compliance, and work, health and safety (WHS) frameworks, and the associated monitoring, reporting and assurance.
The Director Risk and Compliance, in collaboration with the Directorate's WHS and Wellbeing Team, provides technical expertise to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the organisation's employees, visitors, clients and contractors at all workplaces.
The Director, Risk and Compliance will provide strategic advice to ACT Courts and Tribunal staff, managers and executives on the interpretation and application of relevant legislation and government policies for the ACTCT.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Qualifications in a relevant technical expertise (risk/compliance/WHS), or a minimum of five years' relevant experience working within a risk and compliance and WHS role are highly desirable.
Driver's licence Class C is essential.
Computer literacy skills are relevant to this role as you will be required to use several computer software programs.
To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police check.
This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People registration.
This position does not require a pre-employment medical.
Note: Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
