Description We are seeking a talented and versatile motion designer to join our creative production team.
The ideal candidate will be a competent motion designer, with a strong foundation in video editing as well.

You will work on a variety of projects, from animations, motion graphics, sizzle reels, educational and branded content — bringing creative concepts to life through compelling visuals and dynamic design & animation.

You will be joining the post-production team, collaborating with a talented group of designers, editors and producers.
Where you will get to take an idea from thought, to sketch, to screen , for some of the world's most innovative brands.

Qualified applicants will be managing multiple projects simultaneously — working with our clients and Vidico's creative team.
Strong creative and organisational skills are essential, as is a solid background in design and motion design principles.

This role will be based in Melbourne on a 12-month contract with the potential to extend or move into a full-time role for the right candidate.

What will I work on?
Interpreting client briefs and leading on an appropriate creative direction Producing high-tier commercial video content, branded projects, and explainer content, leading on bespoke creative approaches, and consistently executing across multiple briefs simultaneously, sometimes to tight deadlines Ideating on design & animation concepts, and potential approaches for a project Designing; Applying your skills in Adobe Illustrator or Figma to recreate designs, develop them from scratch, and layer the files as needed — prepping them for animation.
Animating; Putting everything into motion inside Adobe After Effects, and flexing your 2D animation skills to animate user interfaces, mask layers, apply pre-compositions, and to export the animation assets to meet the client's deliverable requirements.

What will I bring?
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects & Premiere) and Figma is essential.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on expectations and meet objectives and deadlines consistently.
Highly organised and a quick learner, able to grasp new processes and systems with ease.
Attention to detail and consistency in deliverables.
Ability to articulate designs and ideas.
Excellent spoken and written communication; this is how our team functions, and it's why our clients love us.
An excellent sense of industry trends, best practices and emerging technology.
Figma proficiency is also preferred.
