About You:
You are a strong operational leader with a proven ability to empower teams and deliver results in a complex manufacturing or process-driven environment. Confident and clear in your communication, you can bridge the gap between blue-collar operators and senior leadership with ease.
With a track record in production, plant, or operations management, you understand the intricacies of manufacturing and P&L management. You bring a passion for continuous improvement, a hands-on approach to leadership, and the ability to bring order and clarity to daily processes.
Ideally, you have exposure to capital works projects and safety initiatives and are ready to lead this team through a pivotal transition.
About the Opportunity:
This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to lead in one of the most significant transformations in the Australian waste industry. Located in Sydney's west, you'll play a key role in transforming an established facility as our client transitions to a cutting-edge processing site.
Focused on creating a circular economy by converting organic waste into valuable outputs, this role directly benefits the agricultural industry by producing high-quality compost that supports sustainable farming practices. You'll be at the forefront of this shift, leading a team of 70+ and driving efforts toward a greener future.
Reporting directly to senior management, your mission is to bring stability, clarity, and a culture of continuous improvement to the site. Your leadership will drive daily operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and the development of robust KPIs that the team can rally behind. You'll oversee capital upgrades, safety improvements, P&L ($60M+), and team engagement—building trust across all levels, from the shop floor to senior management.
