Project: This fixed term with opportunity for extension Grade 2 Psychologist role will fulfil a diverse role within the Paediatric Service at Melton Health Hub.
The Psychology team at Melton provides community-based services to children and adolescents in the outer west.
The successful incumbent will have the opportunity to partake in multidisciplinary autism assessments, developmental assessment clinics, and complete psycho-educational assessments to help families better understand their young one and help connect them with appropriate funding pathways.
Opportunities to provide short term intervention may also form part of this role.
The role operates within a broad multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with other Psychologists, Paediatricians, Paediatric Registrars, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, Social Workers, and Allied Health Assistants.
We also provide information, advice, and support to staff, families, carers, teachers, community workers and other stakeholders regarding the nature of a child's psychological presentation and support needs.
