Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineers deliver and support data center building automation systems, such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
CDS Engineers work to deploy and service building automation systems, to ensure the health of our data centers.
As a CDS Engineer, you may oversee deployment of a new BMS or EPMS as part of a new data center build, deliver projects to upgrade an existing data center owned or leased by Amazon, or deliver projects to upgrade colocated data centers with Amazon hardware.
As a CDS Engineer, you may also be required to provide local servicing expertise to our fleet or data centers in your region, and occasionally assist with global support.
Successfully working as a CDS Engineer will also require you to partner effectively with the many teams at Amazon that make our data center deployments and operations a success, including Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center Operations, Procurement, Program Management, Design, and Engineering teams, as well as maintaining strong relationships with our vendors.
Key job responsibilities Deployment of data center controls, on time, with effective management of vendors to ensure minimal defects at the point of Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO)Delivery of critical projects to upgrade data center automationService and support provided to partner teams, providing diagnosis and resolution of Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), Large Scale Event (LSE), Critical Scale Event (CSE), and other operations impacting eventsResolution of tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Delivery of further initiatives to improve the efficiency of our data centers or our operations proceduresHold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see applicants/eligibility-and-suitability)
