Tasks
- Research, development and implementation of numerical models for aging, interface, fatigue and thermo-mechanical material behavior in Abaqus
- Modelling of the constitutive behavior of polymeric materials
- Mechanical, thermal and thermo-mechanical characterization of reinforced and unreinforced polymers
- Development and programming of a tool-set for simulation strategies for of hybrid materials

**Requirements**:

- Above average master’s degree in one of the fields of material science, polymer engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics or any comparable technical study
- Profound knowledge in FE-simulation (e.g. Abaqus) and knowledge in continuums mechanics
- Excellent programming skills (e.g. Matlab, Python, Fortran, C, C++ )
- Laboratory experience and use of testing equipment (LFA, DSC, etc), and basic knowledge in polymeric and composite materials are advantageous
- German skills are a clear benefit
- Personal initiative, skills for self-organization and teamwork, effective communication skills with the ability to interface with partner companies and other researchers
