**Head Public Affairs (f/m/d), Vienna, Austria**

With a strong-medicines pipeline our current transformation will not just deliver growth for our business but continue to allow us to bring innovative medicines to patients quickly.**Your key responsibilities**:

- Establish, develop and coordinate all public affairs activities - on a country level (Country President, CLT) and with responsibility for Pharma
- Plan annual budgeting for cost centres in charge of and adhere to strict cost control
- Lead and develop the team and the Novartis Public Affairs group (Austrian Public Affairs Council) in Austria
- Establish and manage relationships with Austrian stakeholders at all levels and educate about Novartis relevant topics.
- Act as designated Novartis ambassador along with the Country President, CPO-Head, OGM, NTO Head and Sandoz ComOps GM. Guide and coordinate all stakeholder interactions
- Advise and consult the Austrian BUs in public affairs matters and issue Management

Collaboratively manage the development and release of public affairs material on a country level- Plan and develop Novartis Austria reputation campaigns in close collaboration with communications

**Minimum requirements**

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- University degree or FH degree in law, political science, diplomacy or related fields
- Extensive experience in complex public affairs positions including work in trade associations, PA agencies or PA departments of relevant Austrian companies
- Significant experience and know-how of issue-management, crisis management & reputation management: planning, developing and implementing
- Experience in team leadership and development
- Project management and contracting experience
- Experience in crisis management and proven record of managing crises through effective public affairs channels

**In addition to a market-competitive base salary, we offer an attractive incentive program, a modern company pension scheme, childcare facilities, learning and development options as well as worldwide career opportunities within the Novartis group. In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 73.187/year (on a full time basis).
