Market Development Manager

As the Market Development Manager for food, you are responsible for sustainably increasing our market share in food & feed testing worldwide, through developing and implementing business development and market growth strategies, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders. ***Responsibilities**: - With direct reporting to management, the Market Development Manager is responsible for: - Strategic business development including assessment of the obtainable market, and corresponding growth opportunities in the field of food & feed testing for food quality and food safety - Analysis of market trends, available opportunities and risks for this market segment - Strategies to increase business opportunities with existing accounts and to identify and penetrate new accounts by working in close cooperation with the sales organization - Joint visits with key account managers and/or sales professionals to large accounts and key opinion leaders in the industry - Feedback to product management for further product portfolio enhancements based on market trends - Being the go-to person for the food analysis market ***Requirements**: - At least 5 years experience in business development: ideally in the food testing market - At least 5 years experience in technical sales: ideally in laboratory instrumentation or process instrumentation - Technical university degree (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Food quality management, etc.) - A strong business acumen: ideally with a business degree or equivalent experience - Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to prioritize and focus on the essential - Hands-on, positive, pragmatic, detail-oriented, flexible and results-driven, with a high level of energy - Ability to work independently - Excellent written and spoken communication with the ability to build long-lasting relationships with different stakeholders both internally and externally - Experience in international and cross-cultural business environment is an advantage - Willingness to travel internationally at least 25% of the time - Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must; additional languages are an advantage. **We offer you**: - A reliable and long-term workplace in our expanding and international high-tech company - An innovative company culture that promotes technical excellence guaranteeing us the position of a technological leader in the global market - A value-oriented working environment that fosters friendly, supportive cooperation between colleagues and, at the same time, provides room for involvement, dedication and individual responsibility - Individual training and onboarding - Instead of home office, we offer "Working Outside Office" (occasion-related possibility to work outside the office) - Professional and personal development - Applications via personnel service providers will not be processed.
