Department Manager Mechanical Design

Management of the mechanical design department Personnel - and technical leadership of a team of approx. 18 employees from the areas of mechanical design, drawing preparation, production documentation and prototype construction Technical leadership function in the department of precision mechanics and assembly (limits of what can be manufactured, qualification of new technologies, e.g. joining technology, fine machining) Management of the interface to production (mechanical assembly) and collaboration in technical exchanges with critical manufacturers in connection with alternative manufacturing processes Active participation from concept development to transfer in production or commissioning at the customer's site ("Playing Captain") Design and coordination of thermomechanical Finite Elements analyses. Ensuring manufacturability using existing or newly introduced manufacturing technologies (Design for Manufacturing) Design and execution of prototype tests Completed studies (BSc. or Master) in mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a comparable field of study.
