**Open PhD position (M/F/d)**
**Hydrology and Hydraulic Modeling**

**We are looking for**:
**Your tasks**:

- Participation in the research project “Hydrology Weinviertel”, with a focus on hydraulic modelling (setup, calibration, and evaluation of models)
- Application and development of models for simulating hydrological processes and water movement
- Preparation and presentation of research results at scientific events (workshops, conferences)
- Writing a doctoral dissertation as well as scientific publications within the project context

**Your profile**:

- Completed master’s or diploma degree in a relevant technical or scientific field (e.g., civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, or similar)
- Strong interest in research in the field of hydrology/water resources and willingness to engage with new topics
- Experience and knowledge in hydraulic modelling; confident use of relevant software (e.g., HEC-RAS) and programming skills (e.g., Python)
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; knowledge of German (at least B1 level) is an advantage

The position is classified according to salary group B1 of the collective agreement for employees of Austrian universities. For a full-time position (40 hours per week), the minimum monthly gross salary is currently EUR 3,714.80 (14 times per year). Job-related periods of previous employments can be credited.
