The focus in this function is to grow profitable business in Eastern Europe in coordination with the Sales Country Managers and subsidiaries and in alignment with the Regional Management Director and the expansion goals of the company. Main task is driving B&Rs customer base, sales volume, presence, awareness, and knowledge, while keeping the costs under control. In this function, you are aligned with. All targets, tasks, responsibilities, and authorizations are linked and limited to the above assigned region and need to be operated always within the corporate guidelines (ABB/B&R directives).
**Your responsibilities**:
- Define strategic and operational business plan for the region (strategy, targets, marketing, growth plan, costs, hirings, etc.)
- Secure business plan implementation via the various countries.
- Prepare annual budgets in coordination with the county managers
- Monitor the country and customer activities of the sales region
- Periodically host national sales meetings together with the responsible country managers
- Establish and keep long-term personal relationship to top managers at key customers and target customers.
- Participate and contribute with your activities related to major customers or target customers.
- Represent the company to customer and target customer visits
- Assess and release price sensitive calculations requests from the region
- Coordinate new product requests and new product introduction for specific customer requirements in coordination with the Strategy Manager.
- Manage critical customer issues in coordination with the Finance and Operations Manager or with the Strategy Manager.
- Guide and support the local sales teams in growing the business, winning top customers and supporting existing customers
- Identify B&R’s current position in the area and identify growth potentials (including development of new sales channels), development and implementation of sales strategies in the area in close coordination with whole strategy team
- Monitor progress of product and its development in the relevant industries in headquarters, prepare and support the rollout of new products to your area
**Your background**:
- Requires a minimum of a degree in engineering (preferable in electronics or mechatronics or equivalent discipline) and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in similar role
- Experience in a sales or sales supporting function for technical products. Affinity for business and finance. Previous experience in industrial automation industry is an advantage.
- First class interpersonal skills adapt at building and motivating high performance teams, strong commercial acumen with strategic mindset, open and customer-oriented personality
- Experience in coordinating and motivating people.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer oriented approach, intuitive and fast reacting.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize even under pressure
- Fluent in German and English, preferable an Eastern European language (eg. Czech, Slovakian, Polish).
- Confident in the use of MS Office. SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel up to the 40%
