**_ Payroll Specialist (M/F/d)_**

The Austria Payroll Specialist reports directly to the Payroll Lead, joining a regional team of peers. The holder will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the Payroll function on a country level.

**Responsibilities**
- Supporting & guiding a team delivering Payroll work across three Austrian entities, manage work to set service level agreements and ensure consistent processes across the market
- Working closely with external payroll provider and internal HR teams, you will define and lead consistent and compliant end-to-end delivery of Payroll services at all sites
- Ensure accuracy and productivity of the payroll functions including: payroll vendor relations, internal control monitoring, developing and maintaining high quality of efficiency standards
- Contribute to the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures and internal controls
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close, including the account reconciliations of payroll related balances
- Act as point of escalation on service issues across Austria Payroll
- Liaison between Payroll Team and the other colleagues within the EMEA HR Service Delivery team and our external HR Service Center for change control process
- Leading process improvement efforts to standardize Payroll processes across sites, leverage best practices, and reduce complexity
- Collaborating closely with all relevant parties, i.e. EMEA HR Service Delivery organization, HRBPs and HR Centers of Excellence, etc.
- Payroll systems documentation, process optimization and continuous improvement

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or another relevant Payroll qualification (HR Fachfrau/mann, Sachbearbeiterin HR/Payroll, etc.). In lieu of a degree, the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
- Proven experience in a complex multinational business environment, with focus on international payroll for multiple entities is requiered
- Professional knowledge of Austrian payroll accounting, social security and income tax law are required
- Experience in Service Delivery (HR or Finance) is strongly preferred, including SLA management, customer management and issue escalation
- Technical expertise on automated systems
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, to balance and prioritize work
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate relevant information to all levels of the organization
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
