The Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), Austria’s central non-university research and science institution,

seeks to appoint a new

**SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR (F/M/X)**

**_at the Institute of Culture Studies (IKW)_**

The statutory mission of the OeAW is to “promote science in every aspect”. It fulfils its mission through a total of

27 research institutes, which are engaged in innovative research of international standing in a variety of disciplines.

The Institute of Culture Studies in Vienna _(_IKW) is a lively and productive center and engages in a broad portfolio

of cultural research studies. It has established its main research areas (Knowledge Production, Memory Culture

and Antisemitism Studies) and is now seeking to develop them further.

The OeAW is looking for a Director, who can continue to develop the institute’s extremely high scientific potential

and fill it with further perspectives. The newly appointed Director should have core competences in the established

implementation of the OeAW’s career model.
