Join us 1 Student Researcher PhD or Master Thesis (m/w/d) Innsbruck Full-time post 38,5 hours per week, flexible working time model with core working hours, details will be discussed in a personal interview.Optronia lives at the intersection of technology, data science and biodiversity. Our team combines expertise in optics, software and electronics to improve the health and well-being of our environment.
This includes defining the data set for the problem as well as training and testing of baseline and complex models.Deploy machine learning models to our sensor systems and post-processing frameworks. Validate the models in real-world scenarios.Work directly with senior developer, scientists and/or mechatronics engineers.Conclude the project with a technical report which is anticipated to be published in scientific journals or conference proceedings.Minimum qualificationsEnrolled in a graduate program (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Mathematics, Physics, or an allied discipline.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.Enthusiastic and inquiring team player with a high degree of flexibility.Proficient in English.Preferred qualificationsExperience with optical sensors and/or robotics is a strong plus.An in-depth understanding of electrical components, wiring, and troubleshooting of opto-electronic systems.Basic understanding of manufacturing technologies for optics, electronics and mechanical components.Experience with image processing tools and data.Optronia has excellent contacts to local universities (i.e. UMIT Tirol, MCI, FH Kufstein). We are well experienced in finding the right scope and title for a scientific thesis and can help connecting to competent academic supervisors.
