(Senior-) Legal Counsel (all genders)

As a Legal Counsel, your mission will encompass providing strategic legal counsel across various facets of renewable energy projects, including onshore PV and wind development, M&A transactions, and contract negotiations. You will play a pivotal role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, delivering corporate legal services, advising on real estate matters, and acting as the primary legal contact for operational business inquiries.
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on matters related to renewable energy project development, financing, and operations
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including power purchase agreements, construction contracts, land leases, and interconnection agreements
- Assist in due diligence processes for project acquisitions, financings, and other transactions
- Manage regulatory compliance efforts and stay abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations.
- Support the resolution of disputes and litigation, as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement legal strategies that support business objectives
- Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging issues impacting the renewable energy industry
- You hold a law degree from an Austrian university (Mag. iur./LL.M.), ideally with a business law focus
- Admission to the bar in Austria or eligibility for admission
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate, contract law
- Strong understanding of renewable energy project development, finance, and regulatory frameworks
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts in the energy sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
