Finance Manager

As our Finance Manager for the Red Bull Media House Publishing division, which includes magazines like The Red Bulletin, Servus in Stadt & Land and many more, you’ll be responsible for financial planning, controlling and reporting. You’ll have an important role in business model evaluations and in ensuring good cost control and an efficient cost management in production and editorial departments. In this function, you’ll work in a strong business partner relationship with the top management team of this division.

**PLANNING & FORECASTING**

You’ll ensure a timely distribution of financial information to every budget holder by sending out reports and presenting the information in regular meetings. Further, you’ll establish a true bottom-up planning process and develop a local planning calendar. By assuring a high forecasting accuracy of business plans, you'll help to create an environment in which expansions and plans are being developed and implemented.

**FINANCIAL AND TAX COMPLIANCE**

In this role, you’ll guarantee compliance with local legislation and internal group guidelines, and make sure that accounting is correct, transparent and complete. In addition, you proactively manage relationships with auditors and work in close cooperation with HQ tax specialists and external consultants on relevant tax matters.

**BUSINESS PARTNERING AND SUPPORT**

You’ll act as a sparring partner for the budget owners and the general management by ensuring budget adherence, highlighting risks and opportunities, developing business cases for new projects, being driven by a strong service mentality.

**COMPLIANCE WITH HQ TREASURY GUIDELINES**

You’ll establish and maintain an effective credit risk management, make sure that payment terms are in line with industry standards, assess customer creditworthiness on a regular basis, set credit limits and security requirements for all customers, implement an effective collection and dunning process in cooperation with the sales department and strictly avoid bad debts. You’ll carry out a return on investment calculation for all proposed investments as per the investment guideline and make sure that a positive return will be achieved.

**INTERNAL CONTROLS**

You’ll establish and continuously re-assess an effective internal control system and thus minimise the risk of errors, misconduct, or fraud by designing company processes to satisfy the 4-eyes principle, ensuring sufficient segregation of duties and creating awareness about the possibility of fraud. You’ll promote candid business conduct and establish a climate of honesty, trust, and loyalty and encourage a confidential culture of reporting misbehaviour.

**PEOPLE MANAGEMENT**

You’ll manage and develop a small team of highly engaged and motivated people by setting and agreeing on annual objectives, conducting performance reviews and foster further development through e.g. internal trainings.

**Qualifications**:
5-8 years of relevant Finance experience, at least 2 years as a Finance Manager, previous experience within the print/media industry is an advantage

University Degree in Business Administration or similar

Very good German and English skills

Strong accounting (Local Accounting Standards & IFRS) and taxation knowledge

IT literate, excellent MS Excel knowledge, familiarity with any ERP system and any integrated business analysis tool is a plus (SAP BI/Cognos/Essbase/Hyperion etc)

Strong leadership skills and ability to build trust and commitment

Highly analytical and able to quickly identify and analyse risks and impacts and define alternatives

Capable of communicating precisely, effectively and convincingly based on facts with internal and external stakeholders alike

Self-motivated, self-directed and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment

**Additional Information**:
Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 3,102 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
