Engineering Manager Backend

**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**:
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6-8 backend engineers who are responsible for the development of user facing products.

As the Engineering Manager, you will guide your team to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency, while also fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:

- Lead 6-8 backend engineers who are responsible for the development of user facing products.
- Manage, mentor, and support the engineers, helping them grow professionally through feedback, goal setting, and career development. Conduct regular 1:1s, manage performance reviews, and ensure the team is aligned with company goals.
- Oversee the delivery of the projects your team is working on, by ensuring communication and clear status updates are shared.
- Provide high level technical guidance and enable your team to deliver scalable, maintainable, secure, and performant products.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, design and other engineering leaders on defining strategy and executing it.
- Drive the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and automation to enhance team productivity and code quality. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to service stability and performance.

**YOUR BAG OF TRICKS**:

- Strong leadership skills and 2-3 years experience leading a small team of engineers.
- Strong technical background of at least 7+ years in backend development
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster great teamwork within and across teams.
